1.  Remove the seat, back and armrest from the unit.




















2.  Remove the tipping sleeve or anti-tippers and inner rail locking screws.


















3.  Remove the cross brace bolt.















4.  Separate the unit into two sections.





















5.  With the rear of the unit facing towards the floor, hit the floor with the lower half of the rear of the unit.



















6.  This will cause the inner sleeve to slide out of the frame and the cross brace can be removed.  If the inner rail has rust on it spray WD-40 into the frame and let it seep down the frame and repeat step 5.  Install the new cross brace in reverse.
