HOW TO TEST PUMP PRESSURE AND VOLUME WITH THE LAL-FTD4E

        TO MEASURE PUMP PRESSURE:

1. Turn on the pump, and set it to the static mode






2. Plug the test box into a wall outlet.








3. Insert the small diameter hose into an outlet port









4. Block the other outlet port with your finger (note: on 3 port pumps, cover the remaining   2   ports).










Note the pressure (in PSI) on the digital meter.

5. Turn the control on the pump from minimum to maximum and note the readings on the digital meter.








6. Remove the hose from that port, and insert it into the remaining port(s). Repeat step 5.





Remove the hose at the conclusion of the test.


TO MEASURE PUMP VOLUME:


1. Cut 2” off the small diameter hose.




2. Insert one end of the cutoff hose into the end of the large diameter hose. This will enable you to easily insert the hose into the output ports of the pump.




3. Turn on the pump and set it to the static mode, and plug the test box into a wall outlet.

4. Insert the large diameter hose into an outlet port. Block the remaining port(s). Adjust the flow meter to its maximum reading.








5. Adjust the control on the pump from minimum to maximum and note the change in the flowmeter readings











6. Remove the hose from that port, and insert it into the remaining port(s). Block the open port(s) and repeat step 5.

7. Remove the hose and shut off the pump and test fixture.
