1. Verify that all parts are present.

2. Remove the bolt and washer from the end of the pole.

3. Insert the pole into the base.

4. Insert the bolt through the washer, into the bottom of the base and tighten the bolt.  

5. By tightening the bolt the pole will be drawn into the base.

6. Remove the protective cap from the top end of the pole.

7. Screw the IV bag hook onto the top end of the pole.

The IV pole is now ready to use.
