1. Remove the lower part of the cane.  Remove the old silencer tab (STDS3J4502) by twisting it and then pulling it off.

2. Open up the new silencer tab (STDS3J4502).

3. Slide the end of the silencer that does not have a bevel on the edge onto the upper half of the cane.

4. Line up the release lever with the large cut out in the cane.  Push the silencer until it will not go on any further.

5. Install the lower half of the cane and adjust to the proper height.
