1. Set the multimeter to “DCV” or “VDC”, on the 200V scale. Put the meter leads on the + terminal of one battery, and the – terminal

    of the other, and note the battery voltage.

2. Check to see if you are getting a voltage reading at the charger port on the tiller. It should read the same as on the

battery terminals.

3. Insert the charger plug into the charger port and plug the charger into the wall outlet. Leave the voltmeter connected to the batteries.

4.  If the voltage goes up the charger is working. If the voltage stays the same the charger is faulty.
