1. Remove the head/foot motor, side rail mounts, drive shaft and end boards.  Lay the bed on the floor with the spring deck down.

2. Using a 6mm Allen wrench and a 17mm wrench remove the nut and cap screw from the actuator bar and frame tilt bar.

3. Remove the separator. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the other side.

4. Using the 6mm Allen wrench remove the cap screw holding the actuator bar to the side frame of the bed.  

5. Remove the nylon washer from between the actuator bar and the side frame.  Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the other side.

6. Remove the actuator bar from the frame.

7. Install the new actuating bar in reverse order.  Place the nylon washers between the actuator bar and the frame. Hand tighten the cap screws holding the actuator bar to the frame.

8. Place the separator between the actuator bar and the frame tilt bar. Replace the screw and nut.  Tighten the screw and the nut and then back off a quarter of a turn.  Repeat for the other actuator bar. Assemble the bed and verify there is no binding on the bars, loosen as needed.
