1.  Remove the throttle lever by loosening the Allen set screw and sliding the throttle lever off the post of the throttle pot.

















2.  Remove the throttle spring retaining nut.

















3.  Remove the defective throttle spring.













4.  Slide the new throttle spring down over the throttle pot with the bent end as shown.















5.  Place the bent end on the side of the throttle spring stop. Push the other side of the throttle spring over the other end of the spring stop.














6.  Push the throttle spring down flush with the throttle mounting bracket.













7.  Screw the throttle spring retaining nut down while pushing the spring forward so that the throttle spring retaining nut clears the throttle spring.















8.  Hand tighten the throttle spring retaining nut down to the throttle mounting plate.















9.  Tighten the throttle spring retaining nut with a wrench.















10.  Install the throttle lever. Tighten the throttle lever Allen set screw.
